Two Colleges in Adi Keih Graduate 521 Students

College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) and College of Business and Economics that are located in Adi Keih have jointly graduated 521 students in Masters, 1st Degree, Diploma and Certificate on 8 September.

Reports indicate that the College of Arts and Social Sciences has graduated a total of 238 students of which 12 in Masters Degree, 164 in BA degree, 40 in Diploma and 22 with Certificate.

The students are graduated from various fields of studies including Geography, Sociology and Archeology, English, Eritrean Languages and Literature, History, Law, Political Sciences and International Relations, Social Sciences and Sociology, Journalism and Mass Communications as well as Fine Arts.



The College of Business and Economics graduated 283 students including 131 in 1st Degree and 152 in Diploma in various fields of studies including Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Economics, Tourism, and Hotel Management.

Indicating that the Eritrean people have emerged victorious against successive enemy conspiracies, the Minister of Tourism, Ms. Askalu Menkorius said that graduation burdens the graduates with greater responsibility as it is being commenced during a new era of peace.

The Dean of the College of Arts and Social Sciences, Dr. Weldetensae Tewelde on his part stated that 1,710 students are enrolled in the College and that its capacity is being enhanced thanks to the cooperation of the Government as well as the partnership of various international higher education institutions.

Noting that providing free of charge education is the fundamental principle of the Government and that strong effort is being exerted to ensure social justice, the Dean of the College of Business and Economics Dr. Estifanos Hailemariam called on the graduates to live up to expectations in the nation-building endeavor.

Representatives of the graduates also expressed conviction to compensate the people and government of Eritrea with all effort at this hopeful period.

Both Colleges are graduating for their 11th commencement.
