The construction of housing complexes in Asmara for residential and business purposes has begun in line with the government’s recent plan.
Such impetus could be made possible following the putting in place of a factory that would supply construction materials for a total of 1,680 houses and the clearing of the construction sites.
The construction process which is due to be accomplished in collaboration with an Italian company would end up erecting housing units of area ranging between 30 cubic meters to 200 cubic meters, besides the installation of all necessary infrastructural facilities.
According to the blueprint of the plan, a number of 4-storey buildings that accommodate various apartments would be constructed in the environs of Space-2001, in addition to the putting in place of domicile and office multi-storey buildings and private houses in Sembel and Halibet areas.
Reports indicate that a number of nationals have booked for purchase through representatives and online registration, while the deadline thereof has approached. The pertinent body has expressed readiness to meet the upcoming demand.
Accordingly, the construction process constitutes the first phase of the government’s initiative that similar programs are expected to be implemented in various cities.
