Eritrea’s new Consul General in Canada, Mr. Teumzghi Tesfa Tirfe, was officially welcomed by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) yesterday September 24, 2015 in Ottawa, Ontario.
In the reception and subsequent meeting with the department, Consul General Tirfe expressed his desire to strengthen bi-lateral relations between Eritrea and Canada through continued dialogue and interaction.
Consul General Tirfe previously served as Counsellor at Eritrea’s Embassy & Permananet Mission to the United Nations Environment Program in Kenya, Charge de Affairs at Eritrea’s Embassy in Australia and as the Director of Consular Affairs within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Asmara, Eritrea.
