Eritrea’s GDP is expected to expand by 10% in 2011 according to the Economist Intelligence Unit, ranking the fourth fastest growing economy after Qatar, Ghana and Mongolia.
TesfaNews.com first reported back in November that both Eritrea and Ethiopia were ranked third fastest growing economies.
However, in a slightly updated forecast this time, Eritrea now edges Ethiopia in the growth chart as seen below.
