The Government of Eritrea, through the process of International Competitive Tendering, awarded a £4.1m contract to a British engineering company EduTeq to establish state-of-the-art educational center in the capital Asmara and another two in remote parts of the country.
The Leicestershire-based Eduteq (Educational Training Equipment) will supply complete laboratories and all the trainings needed to operate them.

The tools and equipment supplied to the center will help to train the Eritrean youth in all aspects of Automotive Engineering, workshop machinery, welding and carpentry so as to increase the number of skilled technicians in the country.
Eduteq has already secured a £2.4 million finance package with HSBC’s Leicestershire Commercial Centre to help fulfill the contract.
The Eritrean government has been relentlessly making huge investments on the development of human resource through expansions and modernization of existing and new educational infrastructures.
