Chinese construction equipment manufacturer LiuGong has successfully delivered its latest procurement to the State of Eritrea through Masswa port and this time with 197 new and modern buses, fire trucks, cargo trucks, cranes, dozers, fuel, and water tankers.
The LiuGong brand luxury buses are getting the preferred brand for the urban public transport system in Asmara while the 60-seater LiuGong and TATA buses would render transport services in rural areas.
Importation of new buses and machinery from China to the country have started in 2011 and together with those that arrived this week on December 6 and 7, the total number of imported urban and rural purpose buses exceeds well over 530.
The buses have been imported in a view to alleviate the transport problem and improve the living standard of citizens while the machinery to reinforce the national development programs.

Chinese leading and world’s 21st-ranked construction equipment manufacturer LiuGong first won an order from Eritrea in 2011 for a total of 1000 machinery including construction machines, firefight trucks, big and small lorries, trucks, tankers, concrete pump trucks, excavators, graders, bulldozers, rollers, tractors, forklifts etc… worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
