The fourth Ethiopia-Eritrea ministerial consultation was conducted yesterday in Addis Ababa at the office of the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry to discuss the progress in the bilateral relations and cooperation.
The consultation was led by Foreign Minister Workneh Gebeyeu and his Eritrean counterpart Osman Saleh.
The third round of Ministerial consultation took place in Asmara from 12-13 December, 2018.
The two sides deliberated on how to take further the cooperation agendas launched few month back based on the understandings reached between the leaders of the two countries.
Draft documents on how to establish a joint high-level committee to access bilateral relations, as well as regularize trade and transport between the two countries, including but not limited to port utilization and customs, have been exchanged.
The consultation was conducted in a cordial and cooperative manner, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Foreign Minister of Eritrea had also delivered a message from President Isaias to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
