At the 46th International Film Completion conducted on 20 April in Houston city, USA, the Eritrean film ‘Aklasia’ has been nominated the best foreign film and thus received Rami Award.
A total of 3 thousand films from different countries participated in the international competition and ‘Aklasia’ a film which raises social issues that was written and directed by Daniel Tesfamariam was among the 51 films to reach the final completion. Consequently it was nominated the best foreign film and thus awarded with Rami Award.
Likewise, Tsege Teklesenbet was among the six main actors nominated for the Best Actors’ Award.
In the competition, films from the UK, Italy, France, Canada, Finland, Japan, and Ireland as well as other countries participated.
It is to be recalled that in the same event last year the Eritrean film ‘Tiegisti’ received the same award.
