Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ),
Since 2001, more journalists were forced to leave their homeland in Ethiopia than any other country in the world, according to a survey published by the New York based Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ). According to CPJ, from August 1, 2001 to May 31, 2011 some 649 journalists were forced to leave their country around the world. Of those, 79 were Ethiopian journalists, the most from any single country. Somalia is second with 68 forced to flee followed by Iran and Iraq.
