World football governing body, FIFA has named Mensur Maeruf Kherseed from Eritrea as referee for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Nigeria and Namibia, slated for Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek.

The match will come up on Wednesday, June 12.

Maeruf Kherseed, 40, who became an international referee in 2008, will his compatriot Berhe Tesfagiorghis O’Michael, 38, who became an international assistant referee in 2004, as Assistant Referee 1.

Hassan Egueh Yacin from Djibouti will be the Assistant Referee 2, with another Eritrean, Luelseghed Ghebremichael as a fourth official. 

FIFA also appointed Mady Kanoso Bora from Madagascar as Referee Assessor and Abbasi Ssendyowa from Uganda as Match Commissioner.

The match has been slated to kick off at the artifical turf of Sam Nujoma Stadium at 8pm Namibia time.
