President Isaias Afwerki of Eritrea today received the credentials of six Ambassadors.
The Ambassadors who presented their credentials are Mr. Firat Sunel Ambassador of Turkey, Dr. Ferdinand Maultaschl Ambassador of Austria, Senator Lawan Gana Ambassador of Nigeria, Mrs. Drs. S.T. Blankhart Ambassador of the Netherlands, Mr. Faad Saad Almeilih Ambassador of Kuwait and Mr. Sulieman Naezeli Alqawn Ambassador of Jordan.
During the presentation ceremony held at Denden Hall here in the capital, the Ambassadors expressed readiness of their respective countries to work with Eritrea on the basis of mutual interest in the sectors of trade and investment, political and diplomatic activities, as well as other areas of interest.
Mr. Firat Sunel, Standing Ambassador of Turkey told Erina that Eritrea and Turkey have long standing relations, and that his country wants to maintain such relationship. He also said that Turkey would open an Embassy here in Eritrea.
The Ambassador further indicated that Turkey would conduct feasibility study as regards prospects of trade and investment between Eritrea and Turkey, and that preparation is underway for Turkish Airlines to begin Asmara-Istanbul flights.
Mr. Faad Saad Almeilih, Ambassador of Kuwait, on his part explained that the relations between Eritrea and his country based on mutual interest would be strengthened.

President Isaias hold talks with CEN-SAD General Secretary.

President Isaias Afwerki today held talks with Mr. Ibrahim Sani Abani, General Secretary of the Community of Sahle-Saharan States (CEN-SAD).
The two sides discussed ways and means of strengthening the organization, as well as the need for Member States to solve their problems on the basis of internal capacity.
President Isaias stressed that Eritrea would strengthen its contribution towards reorganizing the organization, its institutions and objectives, and put his signature on the revised CEN-SAD document.
The organization’s General Secretary told Erina that he came to Eritrea to present the performance report of the organization to President Isaias, and expressed satisfaction for having received constructive ideas from the President.
