By Sudan Tribune,

South Sudan’s president, Salva Kiir Mayardit, has issued a presidential decree removing the vice-president, Riek Machar Teny, and dissolved the whole government.

Kiir in a presidential decree on Tuesday also removed all the ministers and deputy ministers of the government.

He has not appointed a new vice-president or national ministers and deputies.

The president has directed the under-secretaries of the various ministries to run South Sudan’s ministries until further notice.

Kiir, who also doubles as chairman of the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement party, has issued an order calling for investigation of the SPLM Secretary General, Pagan Amum Okiech.

He has formed a committee headed by the speaker of the parliament and deputy chairman of the party, James Wani Igga, as chairman of the committee.

Kiir accused the party’s top administrator of allegedly inciting violence and criticising his actions.
