President Omer Al Bashir and Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki will launch tomorrow Sunday the 7th Tourism and Shopping Festival (Atanina 7) in Red Sea state.
President Isaias Afwerki will arrive in Port Sudan to take part in the launching ceremony of the festival, said Imad Seed Ahmed, press secretary of the Sudanese presidency, and president Al Bashir will take part in the ceremony and will go on to inaugurate several projects during the visit.
Al Bashir will then spend a 3-day relaxation vacation in the tourist resort of Arkaweet near Sinkat city, continued Seed Ahmed.
It is worth mentioning that the government of Red Sea state has finished all preparations for Atanina 7.
Beautification of the city and its streets, expanding the city’s hotel residency capacity, redecoration of restaurants, cafeterias, and parks as well as rehabilitating museums were among the preparations made by the state’s government.

(By Shabait – 24 November 2013) – President Isaias Afwerki and President Field Marshal Omar Al-Bashir, President of the Republic of Sudan, officially opened on 24 November the 7th Red Sea Tourism and Sopping Festival in Port-Sudan.
President Isaias Afwerki left for Port-Sudan in the afternoon hours on 23 November at an official invitation to participate in the festival.
Upon his arrival, the President was awarded warm reception from the people and Government.
Reports from the correspondents of the Ministry of Information indicate that Eritrean senior Government officials including Ms. Askalu Monkorios, Minister of Tourism, and Maj. Gen. Humed Karikare, Commander of the Eritrean Navy, are participating in the festival.
