EU rapprochement with Eritrea continues as senior government and business delegations from Germany visited Asmara.
During their four-day visit to the country, the delegation conducts fruitful discussion with senior Eritrean government Ministers and other relevant bodies on the possible ways and means of resuming bilateral development cooperation.
A German medical team is also in the country to further promote an existing cooperation in the sector through periodic visits of specialists.
Meanwhile, the EU convened the Eritrea – European Union Article 8 Political Dialogue Meeting in Asmara today.
Article 8 of the Cotonou Partnership Agreement (CPA) calls for periodic Political Dialogue between the ACP and EU Member States. The EU and Eritrea discussed about migration and human rights.

Ambassador of Finland to Eritrea, Ms Tarja Fernandez also held bilateral discussions on the sidelines of the meeting with Foreign Minister H.E. Osman Saleh and Minister of Education Mr. Semere Russom about cooperation in diplomacy and development of higher education in Eritrea.
