As Eritrea goes into the final weekend before it rings in its 25th birthday this coming Tuesday, its silver jubilee anniversary, Eritreans at home and in the diaspora are gearing up for a big birthday bash. Eritreans at home will celebrate the silver jubilee anniversary with fireworks, parades, tent parties, and musical performances. Norway Immigration Minister Warns Eritrean Refugees Against Travel to Eritrea

When the regime in Eritrea [and Eritrea itself] this month marks 25 years [of independence], many Norwegian-Eritreans are expected to travel to Eritrea to celebrate. Those who travel are taking the risk of punishment, warns [the weird] immigration minister Sylvi Listhaug.

In May, thousands of Eritreans from all over Europe are expected to travel to Asmara, the Eritrean capital, NRK reported. They go to celebrate the 25th anniversary of a regime that the UN believes is one of the worst in terms of human rights [fu*k the UN].
