Abadula Gemeda: A Force to be Reckoned With?

Pending resignation, House Speaker Abadula Gemeda still presides over parliament

More questions than answers. Seen as a rubber stamp speaker by many, Abadula Gemeda is considered as a force to be reckoned by his Oromo supporters. However, it’s not yet clear if the renewed protests in the Oromia region has anything to do with his resignation.

Speaker of the Ethiopian parliament, Abadula Gemeda, who submitted his resignation last week has presided on Thursday over a regular session of the House of People’s Representatives.

Speaker of Ethiopian Parliament Resigned

Abadula Gemeda: “I am resigning from chairmanship but will remain in parliament.”

Ethiopia’s parliament speaker Abadula Gemada confirmed tendering his resignation letter to his party and the House leadership.

The speaker of Ethiopia’s lower house of parliament submitted his resignation on Sunday, one of the highest-ranking officials to do so since the ruling EPRDF coalition came to power in 1991.

THE chief adviser of Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the minister, Tedros Adhanom, is a self-appointed professor with a PhD in “international studies” from a “university” labelled by a U.S. congressional investigation as a diploma mill, Addis Voice (AV) can reveal.

Professor” Mekonnen, who also served PM Hailemariam Desalegn as his chief adviser, claims publicly, as well as in his official biography posted on the ministry’s website, that he was a professor at Maryland-based Bowie State University for 15 years. Ethiopian Parliament Speaker Exposed with Two Fake University Degrees

EXPOSED. The “Honorable” Ethiopian Chief Lawmaker and Speaker of Parliament, Abadula Gemeda, has two fake American Degrees from a bogus non-existent, ‘university’ selling non-accredited diplomas online.   The TPLF cat is now out of the bag.

HonorableAbadula Gemeda, who is the chief “lawmaker” in Ethiopia as speaker of the lower house, bought Bachelor of Arts and Masters “degrees” in public administration in 2001 and 2004 respectively from American Century “University”.
