“Bologna was epitome of Diaspora resilience and cohesion with vanguard EPLF during liberation war. Festival conveys emphatically same message” – Yeman G. Meskel
By Bereket Kidane,
THOUSANDS of Eritreans descended on Bologna this past week to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Bologna Summer Festivals and pay homage to Eritrea’s liberation era spirit of brotherhood, dedication and commitment to the liberation of Eritrea.
THOUSANDS of Eritrean citizens from Europe and North America are flocking to the Italian city of Bologna to take part in the 40th anniversary of the historic Eritrean Festival that opened today in the presence of several Eritrean government Ministers, senior PFDJ Officials, as well as diplomats and Head of National Associations.
AS EVERYONE is entitled to his opinion on this or any subject matter I find Mr. Keleta’s view on the upcoming 40th anniversary of Festival Bologna a bit misconstrued and his attack on the organizers and the Eritrean government somehow misguided and out of line.
DURING the weekend of 4th – 6th July 2014, Eritreans in the diaspora will organize a three day festival to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the commencement of the hugely influential Eritrean festival that begun in Bologna in 1974 during the Eritrean struggle for independence.
