Apperciation Day. Celebrating the 16th anniversary of “Voice of Eritrea” Washington DC Radio Program

Just after the war with the TPLF started in 1998, Eritreans in the Metro DC found it imperative to have a communication vessel in order to combat the propaganda schemes of the TPLF, to provide correct information and to empower the Eritrean community. The effort of few concerned Eritreans helped establish the Voice of Eritrea. Since then, the Voice of Eritrea has done a marvelous job and has been the only voice of the people of Eritrea in the Metro DC area and beyond. Sophia Tesfamariam and Elias Amara featured at the Taylor Report Radio Talk Show Program

Eritrean eloquent writer and activist Sophia Tesfamariam together with Horn of Africa Expert Elias Amare made an excellent and extensive interview  with the popular University of Toronto Community (CIUT 89.5 FM) Radio talk show program – the Taylor Report – hosted by the increasingly influential Phil Taylor.

In their discussion, they analyze issues like the death of Ethiopia’s tyrant Meles Zenawi and its aftermath effect, if any, on the Horn of Africa and Eritrea, besides elaborating Eritrea’s all round development model in line with the US’s hegemony and imperial response to it.
