SUNRIDGE GOLD (CVE:SGC) (OTCQX:SGCNF) after starting field work in 2014 is advancing its joint venture Asmara project in Eritrea, expecting to acquire a mining license for the property, eyeing mining operations to start in the fourth quarter of this year.

Sunridge said that it would obtain the mining license within the first half of 2015 after receiving favorable feedback from the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), which mandated a review of the Feasibility Study and the Social and Environmental Impact Assessment (SEIA) last January.  Continue reading Sunridge Gold Expects Mining Operations to Start this Year

Sunridge Gold’s Milestone Could Completely Re-rate the Stock

The Eritrean Ministry of Mines is expected to issue a Mining Permit in the middle of the year. That is what the market is eagerly awaiting to help re-rating the share values of Sunridge Gold to the better. (Picture shows the underground workings at Debarwa copper-gold deposit)

SUNRIDGE Gold (SGC-V, SGCNF-OTCQX) is a successful explorer orphaned by the market but that could soon change. The company is working in Eritrea. Sunridge made several discoveries on its Asmara project and has advanced them to feasibility level.

The feasibility numbers look great. Asmara has a Net Present Value of US$692 million pre-tax (US $428 million post-tax) and an IRR of 34% pre-tax (27% post-tax) using a 10% discount rate. Sunridge owns a 60% interest in the project. That equates to a post-tax NPV of US$257 million attributable to SGC shareholders against a current market valuation of US$25 million.  Continue reading Sunridge Gold’s Milestone Could Completely Re-rate the Stock

By Greg Klein,

While continuing the Asmara feasibility study in Eritrea, Sunridge Gold TSXV:SGC announced on March 7 a new near-surface discovery at Kodadu, four kilometers east of Asmara’s Debarwa deposit.

With assays complete on 21 reverse-circulation holes, the company now plans an initial resource estimate for the potential deposit.

True widths for the two zones were estimated at about 70%. Some highlights from the gossan zone include:  Continue reading Sunridge, Nevsun, Chalice Drill Eritrean Gold, Copper, Zinc and Silver

Sunridge Gold Completes Final Resource Estimate for the Asmara Project, Eritrea

The main advantage for Adi Nefas deposit is its close proximity (6 km) to the 70 million tonne Emba Derho VMS deposit

By Sunridge Gold,

Sunridge Gold Corp. has now received the final resource estimate update for the Gupo gold deposit, the fourth deposit that forms the basis of the Asmara North Prefeasibility Study.

The Asmara North deposits include the Emba Derho volcanogenic-massive-sulphide (VMS) copper-zinc-gold deposit, the Adi Nefas zinc-gold-copper VMS deposit and the Gupo gold deposit. The Prefeasibility Feasibility study is also considering the possibility of processing ore from the Debarwa copper-zinc-gold VMS deposit at a centralized mill near the Emba Derho deposit (see map below). Sunridge Gold Intercepts Strong VMS Mineralization at the Asmara Project, Eritrea

Is Sunridge the next Nevsun?

Vancouver, British Columbia

Sunridge Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SGC) is pleased to provide an update on the current drilling program being conducted at the Asmara Project, Eritrea. Two diamond drills have recently completed the first 35 diamond drill holes as part of definition drilling at the high-grade copper-gold-zinc Debarwa VMS (volcanogenic massive sulphide) deposit. Most holes drilled so far have intersected strong VMS-style mineralization from the copper-enriched supergene zone as well as the primary copper and zinc zones. It is expected that assays from this drilling will be received by Sunridge in early February.            Continue reading Sunridge Gold Intercepts Strong VMS Mineralization at the Asmara Project, Eritrea
