President Isaias Afwerki today gave a brief interview regarding the much hyped Forto incident that happened on 21st January 2013 at the Ministry of Information building. He said that the incident at Forto involved only a handful of individuals and there is no point to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
Terrorists killed US Ambassador to Libya. A suicide bomber attacked the US embassy in Istanbul. Americans on a daily basis are exposed to news about violence in public institutions. However, regardless of how worthy, legitimate a cause may appear to be, Americans will not condone, tolerate or accept any individual, group or organization when force or, the threat of force is used to impose an agenda or further a cause.

President Isaias Afwerki said that the ‘21 January 2013 incident’ was, and is no cause at all, for apprehension and that the Government opted to remain silent regarding the matter so as to give no ground for the authors of sheer lies.
The President told ERINA that it was natural for the Eritrean people inside the country and abroad to seek information about the situation since the very hours of the incident out of patriotic concern.
Yesterday, 24th of January, in the early morning hours, a 16-man mob, led by ring leaders, Amanuel Eyasu, Selam Kidane and Bereket Kahsay, stormed into the Eritrean Embassy.
Like every society, Eritrean society is not immune from hooligans organised by known AntiEritrean elements doing such a blatant criminal deeds. Most of these 16 member mob looks more confused with little or no Eritrean value whatsoever. Some are jobless while others are criminals known in London itself. Two of them are already confirmed to be of Tigrayan origin.
