The U.S. State Department imposed a two year unilateral sanctions on the Eritrean navy with out giving any specific reason or explanation. Why is it being presented as if Eritrea had brought “military equipment” from North Korea when it is not? Why the navy?

At the present, in a time when the Eritrean Government is working hard with the International community to lift the sanctions; for the U.S. government to impose unilateral sanction on the Eritrean Navy based on baseless allegations of trading military arms with North Korea is unsubstantiated.

Eritrea: Nine Filipino Fishermen Freed

Nine Filipino fishermen who had been detained for illegally entering into Eritrean waters wins their freedom after 9 months in jail.

The nine Filipino fishermen who had been detained for nine months on grounds of illegally entering into Eritrean waters finally got their freedom and arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport yesterday (19).
