King Salman hosts a meeting of Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Jordan, Eritrea, Yemen, Sudan , Djibouti, and Somalia for signing the founding Charter of the new alliance.

Eritrea signed a Saudi-led founding “Charter for the Establishment of the Council of Arab and African Littoral States of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.”

42,000 Ethiopians Fled to Yemen Since January this Year

Ethiopians continue to defy death crossing the dangerous sea into Yemen almost daily.

Recent statistics issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) say that approximately 50,000 African refugees have arrived in Yemen since the beginning of 2013 through the end of July.

The breakdown of statistics are roughly 42,000 Ethiopians, 8,000 Somalis and a small minority of refugees from other nations.
