Troops on Addis Ababa streets as political tensions erupt over Haacaaluu death and wider Oromo claims
The military was deployed in the Ethiopian capital on Wednesday as armed gangs roamed neighbourhoods in the second day of unrest that claimed more than 80 lives. Youths enraged by the killing of a popular Oromo musician Haacaaluu Hundeessaa burned tyres in Ethiopia’s capital as unrest start to spread in other cities.
