Henok Goitom to Debut in US Major League Soccer (MLS)

Former La Liga veteran, an experienced striker and top goal scorer, Eritrean Henok Goitom, signed a 6-months, one year extension contract with the a US club the San Jose Earthquakes of the MLS. He has scored 78 professional club goals, one senior national team goal and four youth national team goals.

Henok Goitom, the Captain of the Red Sea Camels and the 2015 Allsvenskan Most Valuable Player (MVP), recently signed a contract with the San Jose Earthquakes and is expected to make his debut this week at Avaya Stadium vs. the Houston Dynamo.

Henok Goitom to Debut in #RedSeaCamels Uniform Against Botsawna

HIGH HOPES. Eight Europe based Eritrean professional footballers, including Henok Goitom of the Swedish Team AIK Fotbol, are heading home for a historic CAF qualifying matches against Botswana in the run up for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. Time to bring back the old glory.

The wait is over. Henok Goitom, the star center forward, and seven other players of Eritrean origin with dual nationalities will make their debut for Eritrea’s national soccer team “the Red Sea Camels” on Saturday against Botswana for the first leg of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifying match in Asmara.
