The Traffic Racket: The Eritrean “Activists”

The role of so called Eritrean 'activists' on the Human Trafficking of Eritreans
The role of so called Eritrean ‘activists’ on the Human Trafficking of Eritreans

By Red Sea Fisher,

THIS piece is the first in a series of articles on the “The Traffic Racket.” The series will look into the shocking evidence of a smuggling and trafficking network facilitated by human rights activists working with refugee agencies, state governments and officials, NGOs and international bodies to smuggle Eritreans, particularly children, from Eritrea. Exploited Eritrean migrants often show up on European shores with few observers understanding that the growing tide of trans-Mediterranean migrants is the result of a larger trafficking racket. Up to 700 African Migrants Feared Dead Near Libya

Over 300 African Migrants Drowned in New Mediterranean Tragedy: UN

CRIME NOT TRAGEDY. This accident simply eclipses the October 2013 accident that claims the lives of 366 migrants off the coast of Lampedusa. As smuggling networks continued to act with virtual impunity, 2015 could be an even deadlier year than last year with 3,200 deaths.

By BBC,

AT LEAST 300 migrants are feared to have drowned after attempting to cross the Mediterranean Sea from North Africa this week in rough seas, the UN says.

UNHCR official Vincent Cochetel said it was a “tragedy on an enormous scale”.

Survivors brought to the Italian island of Lampedusa said they were forced to risk the bad weather on ill-equipped vessels by human traffickers in Libya. Continue reading Over 300 African Migrants Drowned in New Mediterranean Tragedy: UN

Tewelde Tesfamariam (Wedi Vacaro) Passed Away

R.I.P. Dr. Twelde Tesfamariam (Wedi Vacaro): 1949 – 2014

By TesfaNews,

Dr. TEWELDE Tesfamariam (Wedi Vacaro) who has been under intensive medical treatment in Italy has been reportedly passed away yesterday at the age of 65.

The burial ceremony would be held on Saturday October 25th at the San Michele Church in Busto Arsizio, Milano.

Known to many by his philanthropic efforts, the late Wedi Vacaro remained a controversial figure as of late.

Driven by his narrow regionalist agenda and personal hate against President Isaias, Wedi Vacaro started his self-proclaimed activism work by cleverly manipulating the emotional moment that was created among the diaspora Eritreans after the Lampedusa boat accident.  Continue reading Tewelde Tesfamariam (Wedi Vacaro) Passed Away
