Team Dimension Data riding for Qhubeka will be the new name of the MTN-Qhubeka team in 2016. Dimenson Data was confirmed as a sponsor of the team back in July but has since stepped forward as a primary sponsor after telecoms company MTN decided to end their partnership with the team.
Team MTN-Qhubeka will line up with a strong team at the Tour of Utah led by Natnael Berhane of Eritrea who comes off a 5th place finish at the recent Tour of Austria, along with stage victor from Austria, Johann van Zyl, Jay Thomson, Songezo Jim, Adrien Niyonshuti, Youcef Reguigui, Matt Brammeier and Matt Goss. The title sponsor of the African cycling team that made an impressive debut at the Tour de France said on Wednesday that it was ending its agreement, citing the “normal business practice” of reviewing commercial agreements.
