Ogaden Liberation Front Departs to Ethiopia

The Ogaden Liberation Front (ONLF) has finally returned to Ethiopia to pursue peaceful political struggle as Agreed with the Ethiopian gov’t in Asmara.

In accordance with the Peace Agreement reached between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) and the Ogaden Liberation Front on 21 October in Asmara, the ONLF departed to Ethiopia to pursue its political activities through peaceful means. Intense Fighting in Ethiopia, U.S. Warns Citizens

Intense fighting between Ethiopian security forces and a rebel group has led to the closure of the main road from Addis Ababa to Jijiga, U.S. Embassy reported.

The United States embassy in Ethiopia has reported of intense gunfire between two cities leaving a main road linking the capital and another town blocked.

Ethiopia: ONLF’s 31st Anniversary Celebrated

Thousands of Somalis from occupied-Ogaden, South-Eastern Ethiopia celebrate the Ogaden National Liberation Front or ONLF’s 31st anniversary.

Ogaden Liberation movement (ONLF), which was founded in August 15, 1984 has waged an armed struggle against the Ethiopian imperialism or Tigray People’s Liberation Front, Ethiopia’s current ruling ethnic group since 1994 after TPLF ousted the first Ogadeni legitimate President, Abdullahi Mohammed Sadi to supplant Tigray-controlled political system in the oil-and-gas-rich Ogaden region. Ethiopian Rebels Warn Chinese Firm Exploring Natural Gas

DESIST or DECEASE. The Ogaden Liberation Army today threatened to attack any firm operating in the exploration of natural gas in the Ogaden region.

AN ETHIOPIAN rebel group today warned a Chinese firm against natural gas exploration in the Somalia region of Ogaden.

The Ogaden Liberation Front (ONLF) accused the Chinese company of partnering with the Ethiopian government to illegally exploit resources of the Somalia region of Ogaden in addition to providing surveillance and funds for the army and Liyu-Police.
