In July 2020, Ulrich Coppel sent written questions to Eritrea’s Foreign Minister Osman Saleh. It was intended as a “follow-up“ to an interview published in the in October 2019. Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir on Sunday met Eritrean Foreign Minister Osman Saleh Mohammed and Presidential Adviser Yemane Gebreab in Jeddah.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Gattan, minister of state for African countries affairs at the foreign ministry, and Jamal bin Bakr Balkhyour, director general of the ministry’s Makkah Region’s branch.
