THE director of Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS), Mohamed Atta, has reiterated warning to South Sudan against supporting and funding Sudanese rebels particularly the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM).

Last week, Atta, threatened to pursue rebel groups inside the South Sudanese territory, adding they have endured enough Juba support to the Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF) rebels. Ethiopia Denies Alleged South Sudan Rebels Support

FACT: Ethiopia furnishes the political and diplomatic offices of South Sudanese rebels in its capital. It also allowed, while all the other neighboring countries denied, every defecting government official to base and operate from the rebel’s HQ in Addis Ababa.

THE Ethiopian government on Sunday dismissed allegations that it was providing support to opposition forces led by South Sudanese former vice-president Riek Machar.

Eritrea’s Support to South Sudan is Unwavering: Response to John Prendergast Testimony

It is unfortunate the US policy in the Horn of Africa is being steered by pundits like John Prendergast of the ‘Enough Project’ whose goal is to perpetuate conflicts rather than to bring peace to the Horn, a region whose citizens are suffering from perpetual conflicts.

In his testimony before the U.S. House of Foreign Affairs Committee on ‘U.S. Policy Towards Sudan and South Sudan’ delivered on February 26, John Prendergast made two preposterous points related to Eritrea.
