The Eritrean People’s Liberation Front (EPLF), hailed as the highest organizational expression of the Eritrean people’s liberation struggle, has few equals. Against all odds, it proved that with a conscious population, a bit of of ingenuity and unparalleled sacrifice, it was possible to defeat the largest army in Africa supported by the West and the Soviet Union.
