Ethiopia: Lawmakers Vote to Sever TPLF Ties

The House of Federation decided the federal government should sever any kind of relationship with the Tigray regional state assembly and the executive organs of the TPLF.

House of Federation Speaker, Adem Farah said that a series of constitutional measures will be taken against TPLF that ranges from ‘suspending’ the regional state’s legislative and executives bodies to establish a new regional transitional government accountable to the federal government to ‘dispatching’ federal security forces in Tigray and control those that have endangered the constitutional order.
