Metkel Eyob Wins Stage 7, Rwandan Becomes Overall Winner of #TdRwanda

Eritrean rider Metkel Eyob wins the 7th and final stage of Tour du Rwanda 2015. Team Rwanda becomes the overall winner while Team Eritrea ranks first for most stage wins by nation – 16 wins.

Jean Bosco Nsengimana has won the 7th edition Tour du Rwanda, as Team Rwanda claims trophy for what has been described the most competitive tournament ever. Eritrea’s Metkel Eyob won today’s and last stage of 120km-10 laps around hilly Kigali city.

#TdRwanda: Mekseb and Meron Won Stage 4 and 5

Meron Teshome took solace in winning stage 5 of the Tour du Rwanda

Eritrean Mekseb Debesay, riding for Team Bike Aid of Germany, won stage 4 of the ongoing Tour du Rwanda on Thursday, from Musanze to Nyanza, after clocking four hours 21 minutes and 6 seconds in a distance of 166 km.

It was his second stage win following his success in the first stage, from Nyagatare to Rwamagana on Monday.

After an unsuccessful bid during Sunday’s opening prologue due to faulty bike, his countrymen Meron Teshome had took solace in winning yesterday’s 108 km stage 5 race from Muhanga – Rubavu District. Continue reading #TdRwanda: Mekseb and Meron Won Stage 4 and 5
