AFRICAN Continental Individual Time Trial (ITT) Championship concluded earlier today with Eritrean Daniel Teklehaimanot unusually finishing in second place for the Silver medal  behind Tsgabu Grmay of Ethiopia while Merhawi Kudus, who had competed in both the Elite and U23 ITT, had won Gold in the U23 ITT while finishing 5th in the Elites.

Eritrean Merhawi Kudus after winning his second Gold medal for the African Championship

ERITREAN rider Merhawi Kudus from team MTN-Qhubeka today won the under 23 Individual Time Trial race of the Confederation of African Cycling Road Championships.

Daniel Teklehaymanot Won the Individual Title at the 2012 African Cycling Championship

The undaunted African cycling kingpin, Eritrean Daniel Teklehaymanot won yesterday the Individual Time Trial (ITT) title of the 2012 African Continental Cycling Championship in Burkina Faso.

The win, that brought him a second gold medal in the competition, came after finishing a circuit distance of 31.8km in 39 minutes and 11 seconds at an average speed of 48.68 km/hr.
