Nevsun and its Zinc Processing Plant in Eritrea (Update-III)

NEVSUN Resources recently announced a new Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) discovery 20 kilometres to the southwest of its operating Bisha Mine in Eritrea.

We already knew the Bisha project was a VMS project and all VMS-projects occur in one large deposit (in this case the Bisha mine) but also contain several smaller satellite deposits as a cluster around the main deposit. Nevsun Discovers New Massive Sulphide Deposit at Bisha

Nevsun discovered a massive VMS deposit in Asheli, an area that lies on the Mogoraib exploration license, 20km southwest of Bisha mine. Nevsun first bought the Mogoribe license including the copper-zinc Hambok deposit from Sanu Resources in 2012 at only US$5 million. According to the deal, Nevsun will add another US$7.5 million to Sanu Resources upon achieving commercial production from the Property.

Ortac is on course to complete the technical work required to submit an application for a mining licence

ORTAC Resources Ltd Wednesday said exploration partner Andiamo Exploration has completed the surface trenching programme at the Yacob Dewar deposit in Eritrea.

The trenching programme was undertaken along the 1.5 kilometre strike length of the known gold and copper mineralisation at Yacob Dewar. Andiamo excavated 30 trenches totalling 2,362 metres in length to depths of two to six metres.

Nevsun Produces 2,500Kg of Gold in Q2, Granted Harena Mining License

The lower grade Harena gold oxide ore will be blended with the higher grade Bisha oxide to maximize overall gold production
