Sudan, Saudi Arabia Reached a 5-Year Oil Aid Agreement

Saudi Arabia has agreed on preferential oil supplies to fuel-starved Sudan for the next five years after Sudan threatened to reconsider its troop contribution in the Saudi-led war in Yemen.

Former Yemen President Ali Abdullah Saleh assassinated

The former President of Yemen, Ali Abdullah Saleh, has been killed in clashes with rival Houthi fighters, the country’s Houthi-controlled interior ministry confirmed.

412 Sudanese Soldiers Killed in Yemen: Army

A Sudanese army commander has disclosed the losses of the troops participating in the Saudi-led Arab coalition in Yemen since March 26 March 2015.

Is France at War in Yemen?

For France, the United States and the GCC states, Yemen is now a focal point for regional instability and a problem requiring further attention as satellite imagery continues to attest. (Photo: Assab airport. Google Earth image)

Satellite imagery suggests that French war materiel, if not French personnel, is supporting the Saudi-led war in Yemen. If confirmed, it represents a previously unreported escalation of French support.

The satellite imagery, some of which Google Earth published recently, shows two unique hangars deployed on an expanded parking apron at the Eritrean airport of Assab. The hangars match those of other known French deployments. Continue reading Is France at War in Yemen?
