Change is finally coming to Ethiopia. The minority regime of TPLF will soon to be crushed by the combined weight of the United Ethiopian Liberation Forces.

By Abraha Belai,

THREE Ethiopian rebel groups said on Monday they were heading for a merger in a bid to expedite the end of the dictatorial regime which has been in power since 1991.

Those who signed an agreement for a merger are the Ethiopian People Patriotic Front (EPPF), Ginbot 7 Movement for Justice, Freedom and Democracy (G7), as well as the Amhara Democratic Forces Movement (ADFM).

The joint press statement said:

“For years, the Ethiopian people have been demanding for a united political front, and we the various political forces that struggle to make the people the only source of power in Ethiopia have envisioned that a united political force and collective struggle is not an option, but an indispensible necessity.”

Unity among Ethiopian opposition organizations has been elusive much to the delight of the TPLF regime that has ruled Ethiopian with an iron hand for twenty-three years.
