ኣብ ኣዲስ ኣበባ ትማሊ ዝተሳለጠ ኣኼባ ምንስቲራት ኣባል ሃገራት ኢጋድ፣ንወካሊ ኤርትራ ካብ‘ቲ ኣኼባ ድሕሪ ምውፃእ ቀፂሉ፣ንጉዳይ ሶማልያን ደርቂ ቀርኒ ኣፍሪቃን መኺሩ ሓባራዊ መግለፂ ብምውፃእ ተዛዚሙ።በትረ ስልጣን ንዋና ፀሓፊ ኢጋድ ኣዘራሪቡ ዘዳለዎ መደብ ኣሎ። ቅድሚ 15 ዓመታት ብሸውዓተ ሃገራት ዝተመስረተ በይነ መንግስታት ምብራቅ ኣፍሪቃ (ኢጋድ)፣ኣብ‘ዚ እዋን‘ዚ ኤርትራ ብድልየታ ኣባልነታ ስለዘቋረፀት ሽዱሽተ ሃገራት ማለት ጂቡቲ፣ኢትዮዽያ፣ኬንያ፣ሶኣልያ፣ሱዳንን ኡጋንዳን ሓቊፉ‘ሎ።ደቡብ ሱዳን ንኣባልነት ሕቶ ኣቅሪባ‘ላ።
ኤርትራ ኣብ‘ዚ ቀረባ እቲ ዘደስከለቶ ኣባልነት ኣቋሪፃ ናብ ቦታኣ ክትምለስ ሓቲታ‘ላ።ሴክረተሪ‘ቲ ዞባዊ ውዳበ ማሕቡብ ማዓሊም‘ውን ሰናይ ኢሎም ተቀቢሎም ናብ ኣኼባ መራሕቲ ኣቅሪቦም ከምዘፅድቁዎ ገሊፆም‘ዮም።
ኣብ‘ዚ እዋን‘ዚ ኤርትራ ኣባል ኢጋድ ድያ ዝብል ግልፂን ሓፂርን ሕቶ ኣቅሪብናሎም ዋና ፀሓፊ ኢጋድ ማሕቡብ ማዓሊም ክዛረቡ ከለው ” ኤርትራ ብድልየታ ካብ ኣባልነት ንርእሳ ዘደስከለት ሃገር‘ያ” ኢሎም።
ኢጋድ ክልተ ኣጀንዳታት ሒዙ ንምንስቲራት ኣባል ሃገራት ናብ ኣዲስ ኣበባ ዓዲሙ ከመያይጥ መደብ ነይሩዎ።ኣብ‘ቲ ኣኼባ ንክሳተፉ ካብ ሞንጎ ዝመፁ ኣጋይሽ ሓደ፣ኤርትራዊ ዲፕሎማት ኣቶ ቢንያም በርሀ’ዩ።እቲ ኣኼባ ኣብ ሰዓቱ ክጅምር ኣይካኣለን።እንታይ ምጉታት ኣጋጠመኩም? ስለምንታ‘ዩ ንኣቶ ቢንያም ካብ‘ቲ ኣዳራሽ ንክወፅእ ዝተገብረ? ኢልናዮም ሚስተር ማሕቡብ ይምልሱ፣
”ብትኽኽል መሰረታዊ ሕቶ‘ዩ።ኣነ ባዕለይ‘የ ካብ‘ቲ መአከቢ ኣዳራሽ ንክወፅእ ሓቲተዮ።ኣቅድም ኣቢለ ከምዝገለፅኩዎ፣ኤርትራ ኣብ‘ዚ እዋን‘ዚ ዓርሰ-ምድስካል ዝመረፀት ኣባል ኢጋድ‘ያ።ሓቂ’ዩ ናብ ኣባልነት ኢጋድ ክንምለስ ኢና ዝብል ደብዳቤ ናብ ቤት ፅሕፈትና ኣቅሪቦም‘ለው።ኣነ‘ውን ናብ ኣኼባ መራሕቲ ከቅርበልኩም‘የ ኢለዮም‘ለኹ።ሕቶኦም ብመስርሕ ክሓልፍ ይግባእ።
እቲ መስርሕ‘ውን ኣብ ቦትኡ ኣሎ” ኢሎም።
ኣብ‘ቲ ናይ ትማሊ ዋዕላ ምንስቲራት ኢጋድ ንክሳተፍ ዘይኽእል እንተኾይኑ ስለምንታይ ወይካኣ ከመይ ገይሩ‘ዳኣ’ዩ ወካላይ ኤርትራ ናብ‘ቲ መአከቢ ኣዳራሽ ክኣቱ ተፈቂዱሉ? መንበር ክሳብ ዝሕዝ ስለምንታይ ተፀቢኹምዎ? ኢልናዮም “ዝፈልጦ ነገር የብለይን።ተመሊሰ ክሓተካ፣ ስለምንታይ ወኪል ደቡብ ሱዳን ዳኣ ናብ‘ቲ መአከቢ ኣዳራሽ ዘይኣተወ?” ይብሉ።
ኤርትራ፣ኣባልነትና ባዕልና ኢና ኣደስኪልናዮ ፀኒሕና፣ባዕልና ድማ ክነብግሶ መሰልና‘ዩ ዝብል መርገፂ ኣለዎም።ምስ‘ዚ ገምጋም‘ዚ ይሰማምዑ‘ዶ ዝብል ሕቶ ናብ ዋና ፀሓፊ ኢጋድ ቀሪቡ “ኣይፋሉን፣ግጉይ ኣባሃህላን ገምጋምን‘ዩ።ኢጋድ ኣባል ማሕበረ-ሰብ ዓለምን ኣድማሳዊ ውዳበን‘ዩ። ሕስብ‘ሞ ኣብሎ፣ሓንቲ ኣባል ሃገር ኣብ ዝደለየቶ ጊዜ ወፂኣ ድሕሪ ዓመታት ትምለሰሉ መድረኽ እንተኾይኑ፣ከመይ ገይርካ ኢኻ ንማሕበር ወይ ትካል ክተማሓድር ዝካኣለካ? ሓቂ‘ዩ ባዕልቶም‘ዮም ኣባልነቶም ኣደስኪሎም።እዚ ንምፍላጥ ናይ ሮኬት ሳይንቲስት ክትከውን የብልካን” ዝብል መልሲ ሂቦም።

Ethiopia’s Deplorable Conduct at IGAD Meeting

In what is almost a familiar pattern now, Ethiopian security agents manhandling Eritrea’s delegate to IGAD’s 40th Extra-ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers which was convened in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Abeba, this Wednesday 24th August. Eritrea’s envoy was harassed, verbally abused, and threatened by Ethiopia’s security officials in breach of his diplomatic immunity. And finally, he was physically blocked and denied entry into the conference hall at the start of the session.
In an obvious attempt to downplay and dilute the embarrassment to the organization, some officials in IGAD later scrambled to provide flimsy justification to Ethiopia’s behavior mixing Eritrea’s case with the accession of South Sudan to the organization as a new member State. Apparently for this purpose, the final IGAD communiqué also alludes to “appropriate rules and procedures, including considerations of the Summit” that will have to be “observed” prior to Eritrea’s resumption of its membership in IGAD.
These are unrelated and tenuous arguments at variance with the IGAD Charter. Eritrea’s resumption of its membership cannot be vetoed by Ethiopia and is not covered by provisions in the Charter that pertain to accession and new membership. Eritrea has duly notified IGAD of its decision to resume its membership, effective that date, through a letter of its Foreign Minister on July 25 last month. The provisions of the IGAD Charter do not envisage “additional” procedures or processes, and “creative” impediments to this straightforward case.
In the event, Ethiopia’s conduct, as a host of the Ministerial session, was and remains deplorable and it behooves on the other member States to rectify the situation.
